		<description>Part of the appeal has to be that they&#039;re not around anymore and it stirs the imagination to picture something we have no full visual record of.

I wonder if insects could not also be this kind of gateway?  Since my step-daughter is an entomologist, I&#039;ve gained a growing incredulity for these creatures.</description>
